Payson Temple Open House In Utah And Dedication

Cultural celebration for the Temple of Utah's Payson will be held Saturday, June 6, and the Temple will be dedicated in three sessions on Sunday, June 7. Dedicatory sessions will be broadcast only in the District of Payson Utah Temple, and the three-hour block of the Church meetings will be canceled for that week.

President Thomas s. Monson announced the temple on January 25, 2010, and ground was broken to begin construction.




The new temple will serve approximately 27 stock from Spain Fork Ne. consists of approximately 93,000 church members. Temple-going members have previously pushed Provo or Manti Temple to serve God. The Temple of Payson will be 15 in Utah. Two other temples that are scheduled for the Beehive; Temple downtown Provo under construction and Cedar City Temple was announced.

Payson Temple is located around 930 West and South 1550 on the southwest side Payson, one mile South of the intersection of I-15 800. This property offers magnificent views of the area and easy access to the motorway.

Payson Temple Open House begins in Utah

The display shows the features of the construction of the temple: Sapele wood harvested from Africa, local wood fabrication, bronze art glass featuring a Utah flora and apple blossoms; Crema marble excavated and incorporated in Spain, and Emperor light marble excavated in Spain and formed in Lebanon.

The Presidency will conduct the three Temple dedicatory sessions on June 7 at 10:00, 1:00, and 4:00. The session will be broadcast live to the members of the Church in meetinghouses in the Temple area 27 stakes.
